MEET ERIN GULERSEN

I'm Erin Gulersen, born and raised in the city of Istanbul, Turkey. Raised in a home deeply rooted in spirituality, guided by my mother, a ceramic artist, I began on a journey shaped by both my passion for sports and my spiritual upbringing.

From the age of 4, basketball became my driving force. Fuelled by a steady ambition to become a professional basketball player, I set out on a path that led me far from home. At 16, I left Turkey to pursue my dreams, finding myself in Canada where I spent three years playing high school basketball. Seeking greater challenges, I later moved to the United States, where I immersed myself in the competitive world of high school and university basketball.

Education has always been important to me, alongside my love for sports. I pursued a degree in sports management, driven by a desire to make a difference in the lives of young athletes. Yet, as much as I loved the game, I felt a deeper calling within me—an urge to leave a positive mark on the world.

After completing my education, I returned to Turkey to achieve my dream of playing professional basketball. It was a significant milestone in my career, representing not only a homecoming but also the culmination of years of dedication and hard work on the court.

My spiritual journey began early, shaped by meditation, breathwork, and the teachings of my upbringing. After leaving competitive basketball, I wholeheartedly embraced spirituality, finding a strong sense of purpose and fulfillment.

However, it wasn't until I faced significant challenges that my connection to breathwork truly deepened. At 16 and then again at 24, I underwent two lung surgeries, altering the course of my life and leading me to reassess my relationship with breath. These experiences, while undoubtedly demoralizing, ignited a profound connection to breathwork. They fostered not only a renewed appreciation for the breath but also a deep resonance with practices such as Somatic Breathwork, Oxygen Advantage®, OSHO Active Meditations, and OSHO Self Hypnosis for Meditation. Breathwork became not only a means of physical rehabilitation but also a pathway to inner peace and strength. Through conscious breathing, I learned to overcome obstacles with newfound calmness and gratitude, guiding me towards a more authentic and fulfilling life journey.
